Discovering Skylark Meadows
The beauty of Skylark Meadows in Bawdrip was brought to the attention of people who knew the reserve and wanted to learn more about its plant and animal life and to first time local visitors on Saturday 26 May. The wild plant charity Plantlife describes the meadows as hidden gems and so they proved to be on a beautiful afternoon. Groups set off from the Parish Hall to explore under their guidance. The participants returned to the Hall to an array of goodies on sale for the benefit of church funds.
Jenny, Sally, Naomi and Simon managed affairs so that rapidly disappeared with delicious cups of tea. It was then time for a natter with friends.Over 70 people attended greatly to the satisfaction of the team from Plantlife. The local contribution had been organised by Bawdrip residents Pam Earnshaw and Jackie Curtis to whom special
thanks were given.
